Abandoned Shelter Dogs Driven To Starbucks, Use Adorable ‘Puppucino’ Selfies To Find A Forever Home.
Animal shelters across the United States have problems. They have too many dogs that need a home and too few people that are willing to adopt. Part of the problem may be the right advertising.
Molly Clark, a volunteer at Kitsap Humane Society in Washington, and her friends at Starbucks have hit upon a brilliantly funny and exclusive way to introduce hopeful homeless dogs to new owners. She took the dogs to Starbucks. Starbucks concocted a special “drink” for the dogs called a Puppuccino.
The series of photos of dogs eating the latest Starbucks’s concoction is truly hilarious and worth sharing just on the basis of being so funny. Big dogs and tinny dogs are slurping away out of Starbuck’s cups. The whipped cream covered noses are delightful. The smallest dog looks like he might be consumed by the cup.
Animals are like people. They enjoy a day trip. Shelter dogs do have some room to roam about but getting out of the “house” is a treat. There is nothing that compares with that wind up the nose feeling that a ride in the car gives a dog.

The outing was naturally well planned. The shelter figured out that whipped cream would not harm the dogs. The people at this Starbucks’s were more than willing to help out in trying to find a home for a homeless dog. The Starbucks employees got the added bonus of laughing themselves silly while the dogs had a cup. No dogs actually went inside but patrons did come out to see the dogs.
The idea is really creative and appealing. Share this funny set of photos with your local animal rescue shelter and the local Starbucks. Puppuccino could sweep the nation and the glut of dogs that need a home could be diminished. It could be a revolution.
You might want to drop a word to Ms. Clark congratulating her on her ingenuity. Marketing geniuses that get paid millions of dollars just could not match the combination of humor and love for animals that this lady came up with.
Starbucks deserves your recognition as well. The company successfully balanced the needs for food cleanliness standards with the need to get shelter dogs into homes.
You will want to share the photos for the fun that they are but you should also share them because this is a simple but really effective way to make shelter dogs attractive to potential owners and give the dogs a treat too.
