Need a good laugh? Take a look at these dog breeds photo shots, titled – “For The Love Of Peanut”
Dogs can be funny characters and a great source of entertainment for us mere humans. Which is why we love photographer Greg Murray’s latest photo series, “For the love of peanut butter”.
Some of the expressions they pull are so lovely.

A majority of the dogs photographed for this book are rescues. If you plan on going to a breeder, please ensure that you do your research so that you are not supporting puppy mills. Also know that there are breed specific rescues out there.
The adorable pictures show a variety of breeds eating sticky peanut butter which, for some, turns out to be quite the challenge.
The dogs, which range from French Bulldogs to Rottweilers, pull their faces into wonderful expressions of enjoyment, frustration, and confusion as they navigate the new sensation in their mouths.
“Dogs do like peanut butter but most actually love it,” explains Greg, who has been photographing animals for the past seven years.

“The faces they make while eating it tend to be hilarious. They drool, their eyes widen and their tongues do things you didn’t think were possible.”
Greg was inspired to create the photo series after trying to take a close-up picture of his own dog, a Mastiff called Bailey.

“About two years ago, before I even had a studio, I took a photo of me and my fiance’s rescued Mastiff. Bailey was a beautiful dog with a range of funny faces due to her large jowls, tongue and constant drooling.”
“I was having difficulty getting a funny photo of her one day and gave her some peanut butter. The face I captured in the photo was hilarious and it will forever be one of my favorite photos.” And so For the love of peanut butter was born.
When talking about the project, Greg says that his aim is to make people smile and laugh and admits that the biggest challenge was cleaning up the dogs afterwards. “The most challenging and also funny part is getting the dog to keep it’s head still,” he explains. “The peanut butter sometimes gets stuck on the roof of their mouth and it can be quite the challenge to get it all down.”
