What would you do if the same stray dog would wait for you outside your hotel room all the time?
That is precisely the question Olivia Sievers, a German air stewardess, had to ask herself when she found herself in that situation. It all started during one of her frequent flights to Argentina 6 months ago when Sievers first ran into the dog outside her hotel room.
Initially, she showed him some affection and gave him some food. She assumed that was the end of the encounter. But the affectionate pooch had another idea, he just couldn’t bear the idea of not seeing her again so he began waiting outside her hotel room every time she’d flight back to Buenos Aires.
She even tried changing routes on her way to the hotel, but all to no avail. “I tried to change my way as I didn’t want him to follow me to the hotel but it was not possible he always followed me so I tried [to wait] one hour but he always watched me and followed me,” she said.
Even after she found the pooch a home in Buenos Aires, he managed to escape and return to the same spot where he’d wait for Olivia to show up. She knew then, the dog was meant to be by her side so she decided to adopt him. She named him Rubio.
Rubio is no longer a lonely street dog without a home. He is now part of a loving family which includes two other dogs. His waiting days are over.

She eventually named the stray dog Rubio and found him a home in Buenos Aires, but he’d return to the same hotel and wait for her.
